Q1. As an individual with no business how much can I save?
A1. The amount you can save is quite dependent upon your personal circumstances and willingness to make changes. We can typically find $1000 of savings annually but often the amount is higher. Please also note most savings are ongoing and will be enjoyed over the following years.
Q2. How much will it cost me?
A2. Our initial consultation is free. Thereafter we will provide you with a quote and you can decide at that point in time if you want to continue with our services.
Q3.How much time commitment is required from me?
A3.The initial consutation typically takes 30 to 45 minutes to complete. Thereafter the amount of your time required is dependent upon the complexity of your circumstances and the amount of work you need us to perform.
Q4. What if I don't want to change?
A4. No changes will be implemented without your express approval.
Q5. Will I have to compromise on services?
A5. In most cases the changes we recommend will not result in a reduction in the level of service. In some situations we may recommend a reduction in the amount of service or product you are paying for because your usage is less. For example you may be paying for unlimited broadband but typically use an amount each month that would allow you to go on a cheaper lower usage plan.
Q6. What if something better comes along?
A6. Our recommendations are based upon what is available at the time and may not always be the cheapest option available. A better alternative may become available in the future but we cannot predict this.
Q7. Can I pay your fee progressively as the savings emerge?
A7. Yes. We can make arrangements for our fee to be paid progressively as your benefits/savings arise.
Q8. Does Make Some Change get any commissions or fees from service providers it recommends?
A8. All commissions and fees received by us are rebated to our customers. We believe it is important to remain completely independent when making our recommendations so we do not receive any fees or kickbacks from suppliers.
Q9. Does Make Some Change provide budgeting advice?
A9. Yes we do provide comprehensive budgeting advice and ongoing assistance with budgeting.
Q10. Does Make Some Change provide taxation advice and assistance with IRD filings?
A10. Yes we have expertise in all aspects of income tax, GST and FBT. This includes preparation and filing of returns, managing IRD investigations and correspondence, etc.
Q11. Does Make Some Change provide accounting services?
A11. Yes we provide all aspects of accounting services except audit.
